The talented team recently dominated the regional tournament in the comfy confines of their home gymnasium.

The regular seasons are winding down, and we see the winter sports teams jockeying for playoff postions. In hoops news, the Tabb girls won at Bruton 53-16 on Monday, 2/4. However, two nights later they lost at home to Jamestown 58- 33. They are now 11-10 on the season. The Tabb boys ran their win streak to 11 games as they moved to an impressive 18-2 on the year. On Tuesday, 2/5 they hosted Bruton and won 61-42, and two nights later they visited Jamestown and won 58- 50.

The York girls lost at home to Warhill on Saturday, 2/2 by a 52-38 count, and two nights later visited New Kent and lost 37-29. However, they finally broke their nine-game losing skid on Wednesday, 2/6 with an impressive 38-29 win at Poquoson. The girls are now 4-16 on the season. The York boys defeated New Kent at home on 2/5 68-56, but lost on 2/7 to Poquoson at home 46-41. They are now 5-16 on the year.

The Grafton girls lost twice to fall to 11-10, but the boys won twice to move to 18-3. It will be interesting to see if the Tabb boys and the Grafton boys cross paths in the postseason tournaments. The Poquoson girls lost twice to fall to 2- 20, but the two wins by the boys upped their record to 7-14. Two losses by the Bruton girls left them at 4-16, and a win coupled with a loss by the boys puts them at 8-12.

The Summit Christian Academy boys played host on Monday, 2/4 to the Friends School from Virginia Beach and won 58-19. However, on Thursday they hosted Great Bridge Christian Academay and lost by exactly double, 66-33. The boys are now 5-8 on the season, and 5th in the standings out of 9 teams.
